Department of Foreign Languages
Foreign language instruction has been part of the Lyceum curriculum almost since its beginning. There is much in the news these days about the importance of foreign languages for young people to function effectively in today's workplace and global economy.
Through our programs we invite our students to develop a broad understanding of the rich and varied cultures of our globe — understanding that is built on solid competence of spoken and written skills in the language(s) they learn.
Our faculty members stay ahead of the curve when it comes to educational innovations, and our facilities are up-to-date with the latest technology. Yet despite all this, we've stayed true to the goals we've had since our department was created: giving our students world-class education in the languages and cultures of other countries.
Our teaching is diverse. Our students don't only have traditional classes but are srongly encouraged to do their own research and take part in the Republic Annual Scientific Conference (?).
